I have a large number of uncompressed AVI files that were ripped from my minidv camcorder. Some of these files are as big as 20 GB each. After working with the videos in Premiere Pro, I want to compress them down to a managable size and archive them on DVDs.
I have been trying to use Divx Converter and Total Video Converter to compress the files into divx format. On smaller files this works fine. But on the larger files I have been encountering audio synchronization issues. The audio is out of sync with the video by several seconds.
Can anyone tell me why there may be problems with the large files but not with the smaller ones? Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
