Problems With Virtualdub!!!!

I previewed the movie with the subtitles but they don't appear as if I had not added them and I can't seem to get them in the movie even though I already changed them into .ssa and did everything right with virtualdub, step by step, i even tried with other movies but it doesn't work. Why can't I see them and save the work?

Use the Textsub or Vobsub filter with .srt subtitles.

i tried vobsub but I don't know how to use it, I'm new at this
