    audio not synchronizing

    Hello mates.whenever i use virtualdub alone or divx media etc that needs virtualdub to embed subtitles,the output file has audio problem.its not synchronised with the image.though i have noticed that the subs appear the correct moment,at least i noticed that upon trying to ead actor lips when talking.what could be the problem?thx in advance

        Open your file in Virtualdub.Then click File/File information.Give us that screenshot like this:

            Did you get any warning messages when you loaded the file in VD ?
            Also give file info using Mediainfo.
            The desynchronisation can be corrected in VD itself.But first let us see if we can find the cause.

              i get VBR.i may encounter errors up to 35274ms etc and full process when compress decompress audio.i entered this value at audio skew correction but the audio was still some second after the pic.

                i get VBR.
                This is what I had apprehended.DO NOT use Virtualdub for encoding files with VBR audio. VD does not like VBR audio in avi. Try AVIDemux instead.

                  well.i used VD and i did those:i selected full processing mode at audio and at audio skew correction i entered the value mentioned at the warning.i watched the output file 2 mins ago and everything is in order.video-audio-subtitles at the correct time.

                    You are lucky.Glad it worked out.But do try AVIDemux for these VBR audio files.

                        Yes, you can,provided the two avi files have same resolution,bitrate etc.
