next cutting on a dime not a keyframe

    again says it all.

i want to cut movies so that i only get what i want, despite marking in at a particular frame, when i save it takes it to the next keyframe giving me messy cutting. any ideas greatfully appreciated.

What are you exactly using to cut movies at present? There is a software named Boilsoft AVI/MPEG..cutter. Try this, its a good one. Another is Video Redo. The best thing about Video ReDo is that it will not retranscode while saving your edited work.
    try this one too: VirtualDubMod

Yup, but cagee did not specify the type of file, so I decided to list all the options

thanks guys im using virtual dub, not the mod. moving the ins and outs, deleting the rest but when saved it takes it to a keyframe not the actual frame i cut on. this is also without rerendering by making a direct stream copy, brill system if i can keep to the frame.
