Are you sure you have the audio slider at the correct position?

If you still cannot get audio please attach/upload a small(about 1-2 min) of your file so that I can test it.

The slider is in the correct position.
I attached a part of the movie I cut with AVIdemux.
Note that the file does have audio, but not when opened with AVIdemux.

Also the audio volume is very low, which is a problem with the original file. Is there a way to fix this?

      Thanks in advance

OK.I will examine the sample once the attachment has been approved.
As for increasing volume, you will have to re-encode the audio and while doing that select Filters/Gain and put a value.

paglamon sorry to bother you again, but three quick questions:
-how can I augment the volume with virtualdub?
-when I encode a video with subtitles in avidemux, the output doesn't have built-in subtitles.
-also I tried using Gain to augment the volume, but even at the maximum(10), it's still low. Is there another way or I should just encode the video few times?

          Thanks again

how can I augment the volume with virtualdub?
Audio/Full Processing Mode, then Audio/Volume. Tick "Adjust volume for audio channels".Move the slider to a desired level and click OK.Before encoding, test whether the volume is to your liking by playing the Output window.

As for subs in AVIDemux,if the preview shows subs then the output should also have subs.
You may find answers to AVIDemux problems here.

Is it possible to cut a portion from a movie and at the same time embed subtitles for that part?
