HD DVD to standard XviD tutorials

Hey, I would like to ask is there any tutorials out there for encoding from HD DVD to standard XviD with the HD already on the computer? I tried search after search and so on in google but I really couldn't find a tutorial. Could someone please help me out by posting up some tutorials? Thank you.

There is still a lot of work in progress on this front, mainly due to the new HD audio codecs. Check out forum.doom9.org, I think they might be making some progress, especially with tools like eac3to. Once you can play HD DVD movies through Media Player Classic (via DirectShow filters and splitters), it means you can use Avisynth to convert them to DVDs (eg. using MeGUI).

Since I don't have a HD capable computer or computer drive at the moment, I'm waiting to get a new computer before delving more deeply into this area.
