    Disc not recognized

Been lurking for a while but have a major problem I think and need help. I have backed up many DVD's with no problem when all of the sudden by DVD drive doesn't even recognize there is a disc in it. It will recognize backed up discs. Problems are occuring specifically with Bad News Bears, Sky High, and Valiant. Not sure if this belongs in another forum or not just need help. Pleeaaaseee!!!

Seldom had problems with any movies old or new. Occasional cleaning always remedied the problem.

I have and have not found any instance in which the Drive wouldn't even recognize a disc was there. Thought it could be some type of settings problem.

there is half a billion. what about a possible firmware update? or cleaning/polishing of the discs at fault? are they in pristine condition, or do they have any noticeable damge/scratches on them"?
