    Sorry for the misunderstanding Chewy.Yes,I did turn auto update OFF & test Ulead.It gives the problem as long as Windows Installer 3.1 is installed.But I LOVE UVS.I would rather uninstall 3.1 than get any other editing software.I tried Pinnacle earlier.It SUCKS.Although PowerDirector is a good substitute.Anyway,thnx for sharing ur views.Pls do PM me if u find a solution to this problem ever in future.For the time being I will live with UVS 9 and Windows installer 2.
