Chewy you're the man... I like that NewEgg stuff... I checked their site but must've done the search wrong. I'd like to have 768 of RAM total if possible, can you find me a 256 stick on NewEgg?

You want me to try the imgburn now? without the new RAM?

If so, I might need a walkthrough... this isn't the DVD Shrink option to save an ISO Image and burn with DVDd is it?

          ECC nono

          try the imgburn(3rd time)
it only uses like 30 megs of ram at 8x

save money for new computer or only add 256 megs

Shrink won't even encode... not the burner.

OK, I uninstalled 3.2 and am installing 3.1.4

                  Where can I get imgburn?

So I'm guessing I should use Shirnk 3.1 to shrink and encode the disk, then use imgburn to actually burn the compressed VIDEO_TS folder?

                      gotcha... thanks...

making the iso with shrink is what's going to take forever...

I uninstalled nero... now shrink won't give me the option of making the iso.

Tells me to visit www.nero.com and then asks for a target. Do I HAVE to have nero installed even if I'm just making an ISO?

Nero is nothing to do with the ISO. It should be able to make a ISO even without DVD Decrypter installed. DVD Decrypter is needed to get the "create ISO and burn with DVD Decrypter" option.

You need 3.2 to get the ISO option. I don't think it is in Shrink 3.1.4.

with that cpu and that ram 3.2 shrink should work, slowly, but then
I would certain bare bones the reauthor, if not make 2 disks on long movies.

Will this be the same story with a gig of ram? I just bought a gig... my parents wanted it... it's not my money. Just tell me... will it help?

Wait, what? Implying there's a virus? It's clean, I checked that when I came home... I haven't received the ram yet, it's being mailed. When I get it and install it, do I need to do anything else? Besides snapping it into place on the motherboard?

What did you mean by reload the computer? Reinstall windows? We did that on it about a week ago before we started upgrading it.
