just out of interest ( as i have installed 3 additional fans to my main machine this week):

what are the specs of this/these fans of yours?

        -80x80 or different?
        -airflow in cfm/m³-h
        -db
        -rpm

hehehe, i hope your case will never get too warm so that the fan will not have to run at full speed and some noticable 48db ^_~

are you sure it is ~78cfm (not m³/h)?

                my mistake

i have found some thermaltakes now with the specs you mentioned

is it the so called ufo fan?

and yes, ~48db would be noisy indeed

connect this fan to the powerline and listen to what you get at full speed - i'm sure you'll change your mind immediately ^_~

                    48db is half a boing 747 *ggg*

btw: lowering the rpm will not only lower the noise level but also your current which varies from 0.15a - 0.48a with this fan

It came with a manual control but i was going to take the easy way out and just use the jumper , but now since im aware of the noise i will probally pass on installing for awhile. Its on the pc with the x2 and i hate to mess somthing up allready just for the blue led
