Here is the answer I got from HP.

Thank you for contacting HP Total Care.

I see that there are multiple iexplore.exe programs running in
taskmanager. This issue might occur due to various reasons.

To resolve this issue, I request you to close all the iexplore.exe
programs by following the steps below:

1. Press and hold the CTRL + ALT + DELETE keys on your keyboard. The
Windows Task Manager opens showing a list of all running programs.

NOTE: If your computer hangs or locks up, the Task Manager window
might not open or might take a few moments to open.
Pressing the CTRL + ALT + DELETE keys two or three times
will restart your computer. You will lose any unsaved
data. If the computer does not respond to the keyboard,
press and hold down the POWER button for five seconds, or
until you hear the computer shut down. Wait ten seconds
before restarting the computer.

2. Click the Processes tab.
3. Select the program you want to close and click End Process.
* Under the Applications tab, you can close any active programs,
or tasks, by selecting the application and clicking End Task.

4. If another screen opens stating the task has stopped responding,
click End Task.
5. Repeat Steps 1 - 4 for each of the programs you want to close,
except for Explorer and Systray.

This should resolve the issue.

If the issue persist, download and install a spyware/adware removal
utility on the computer.

* Spybot

Spybot - Search & Destroy can detect and remove adware files and

This should resolve the issue.

About the diabetes thing, it depends if they were homozygous dominant or heterozygous, or if diabetes is recessive.

wow,when i remeber learning those things...ha ha,in 2nd year highschool!we ve had these special tests,along with the theoretic part,with determining what kind of hybrid bean would you get if u crossed x and y...i know i hated it,i havent attended biology classes for about two months,went out for a coffe,and at the end of the school year i had to learn almost the whole book...got A thuogh,year grade B...those were the days,now i have to learn 6-8 hours a day,id rather spend all that time closing iexplore.exe-s in your taskmanager!

I would vote that something is preventing the program from being drawn to the screen (screen writes... and no not the people that write scripts for TV shows... LOL).

Have you done scans of your system with Anti-Virus and Malware scanners? I would suggest giving Ewido a try as it was able to get rid of Winwly32.dll where other products failed. Something is running in the background that's causing IE to either not completely execute, or as I said, not being drawn onto your screen.

I used ewido, and it found 88 things. All but one was for Firefox strangely, as this problem was with IE. Attached is the scan log - any insight?

Try Spybot and Ad-Aware they are both good programs
are you still having the problem after using ewido?

Yes I am.

Ad-Aware is good for scanning, but it does crap when removing... normally restarting the PC brings all the items back!
