Just a reminder to everyone that may not have auto updates turned on. It's the second Tuesday of the month and as usual, updates are ready for download.

great. i hate updates. usually wants a restart and for someone who never shuts down the pc and has applications running, there is never a good time for a restart!

I've ran into something with Windows Defender beta. I got the icon pops up in system tray telling me it hadn't been updated in 15 days so I click on check for updates. Comes back & says fully updated. I try a few different things to get it corrected, nothing works. I know I can exit the program & make sure it doesn't autostart but it is annoying. Decide to do full uninstall & redownload, it comes back & tells me the program hasn't been updated in 77 days, of course it is fully updated (LOL). My point is this is just the kind of annoying crap that gets people ticked off.

I didn't get the warnings either.... though I always check on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Weekly I run my Bit Defender updates as well as Zone Alarm. I ditched Symantec 2005 because of the system resource hoarding.

norton does a weekly scan and it seems every bloody time, i'm burning a disc. i get so mad i want to smash that norton! i burn at all different times and it just happens that way. so it hasn't done a whole scan now in about 2 months. finds spyware yet can't do jack about it too. i can't shake these 4 things."One day men will look back and say I gave birth to the 20th Century".
