didn't work, got to try one more thing before restore, BTW, any idea on exactly "when" I should restore to since I don't have an exact date when this problem started?
it should say when the software was installed. use that as a guide. you can first create a restore point right now, so you can always go back to how the PC is right now as extra security if you like.

Yes, I will set a restore point and I think I will restore back to the day after I installed TMPGenc which was when I got all dvd burning issues settled, will try this during the weekend sometime, thanks.

Restore did not make a difference, BTW, can anyone explain the difference between the 2 options when doing a restore?
Restore my computer to an earlier time
and
Create a restore point
Looks to me like they are both the same thing, with the first option I set the date I wish to restore from and so what's different from that and the second option please?
Restore my computer to an earlier time
and
Create a restore point
Restore my computer to an earlier time = will set you pc back to the earlier date that you choose. You pc will work the same way it did back on that date. Its like going into a time machine and going back to a better running time.
Creat a restore point = will creat a restore date for you. For example if you create a restore point for Today may 2 ,2006. And 5 months from now you want your pc to work the way it did today you would chose that restore date later. But if the computer isnt working right today you will want to give this new date a title that you will remember that it was not working.
Moved only the MPEG Movie files out of the main video folder and found out that it is the MPEG Movie files while being in the folder that is causing the problem, any ideas why the problem with only these files?
Did some more experimenting and noticed that the folders are hanging from the time TMPGEnc converts the mpeg2 files, is this a bug or something related to the TMPGEnc software?
