I would be tempted to underclock the cpu, pull the vid card, large hard drive and put in a new computer.

I would put my vid and HD in a new comp but i haven't got any money how do I underclock my CPU and could it fix my problem?

It might, but it might be too late if that is the problem. There's only been one time that I verified that something like this had happened, I lowered the frontsidebus on a cpu that had run at it's redline temp for 2 weeks. It would crash all the time wherever it kicked into gear and started any intensive operation, after lowering the FSB to 166 from 200, it seemed happy.
In your mobo manual it will tell if you can set the bus speed lower or change the multiplier to a lower setting. Bios or jumpers?
Save your money for a new computer, you may be beating a dead horse!

Looks like i'm gonna have to buy a new comp (im saving)anyway i've got even more problems now my 250gb hd is not showing up and my graphics card hasn't been detected

Another thing to check, Power Supply dying from too many things added to computer.
Don't buy a new one yet, but if a funny smell starts coming from the exhaust
then it's a dead giveaway.

I can't smell anything from the exhaust but I think you may be right about the power supply dying.

If you unplug a few non essential itmes, fans, extra hard drive and that fixes it, then it point to power supply, but usually this problem shows with trouble at boot up?

Yeah and when windows strats its also much slower. i'll do another report.i'll try and unplug some stuff see if anything changes.

put the 128 meg stick back in, open your case and point a small fan into it

your voltage is still OK for the power supply

I put the 128 stick in and thats when i started getting these new problems,so i took it out again.could it be a bad stick or something, i'm worried about putting it back in.

yeah,where do i go from here? its full of problems and i'm stuck as to go from here should i fomat it? it fixed the problem last time but that means backing everthing up and its pretty time consuming

i find it weird that when i format it,it all works then it when i run low on disk space i started getting problems,even when i freed up 10GB it still has the problem
