    in your explorer file/folder options you will have to go to this category: HIDDEN FILES & FOLDERS and reverse the selection

    win standard is this:
    - dont show hidden files/folders

    set it to:
    - show all files and folders

          let me ask again:

          there are two different SUBFOLDERS in which you will have to change settings

          category 1:

          category 2:

          make sure to have both settings similar to what they look like in my screenshot

                hmmm

                now the question is: does your explorer (or are you using a decent file manager like total commander [which i strongly suggest]?) show hidden files - leaving us confused with the question as to why there is no boot.ini or are hidden files still not shown on your system?

                  start/search/for files and folders/advanced/show hidden boot.ini
                  wonder if it's on another drive?

                    what drive is your virtual memory(pagefile.sys) on? should be at least 2MB on C and I didn't see that either.

                        in order to make TC show hidden files go here:

                        => configuration => settings
                        ==>>layout => view => show hidden & system files
