What i did was use shrink which is on c drive ,shrank the video to d drive, and used nero which is also on c drive to burn a movie that was also on c drive , i think thats how i did it.
Are you saying that i should have had either shrink or nero program on d drive? like nero on c and shrink on d?? or am i way off base?Keep Plugin awayComment

Is it worth getting a AM2 socket and DDR2 over a socket 939 and DDR?
The reason I ask, is my Dad is now thinking again about another computer and would take my processor. He also would prefer to take the motherboard and RAM if necessary so the processor doesn't get taken off and on again. If he did, I could use the opportunity to upgrade to AM2 chip and board with DDR2.
I like my Asrock board and it comes in a AM2 version.Comment

They are not more expensive in the UK. I found my current board at the same price as the S939 version. Even, the chips are the same prices. The DDR2 memory is a bit more expensive.
I have decided against AM2 for now if I need a new board. I can't find my current board (Asrock 939NF4G-SATA20. What would be a good board with this spec?
X2 compatible
Nforce
4 USB 2.0
Micro ATX
Two USB headers (for memory card and front USB sockets)
PCI Express (for future)
Sata 2 (for future)
I currently use NVidia 6100 onboard graphics which have been fine up to now.
It would be easier to replace just the processor but, if my Dad has the old one, he wants the board as well.Last edited by nwg; 30 Jul 2006, 08:54 AM.Comment

After a bit more thinking. I am just going for a socket 939 processor and just swap them over. My Dad will have the old one for a future computer.
I just need to decide on whether to get a X2 4200 at £125 or a 4600 at £155. I won't be overlclocking.Comment
