Alright Chewy, I'll be the one to ask the question since isos play in MPC for you too. Do you also have Nero installed?

Thanks Chewy. Something in Nero is definitely the key for playing isos in MPC. For a sec there I thought maybe you didn't have it installed.

Hey, I seem to be one of the few that doesn't have problems with Nero!

Vision/recode now is a different story.

6.6.0.18 LiteON OEM on the Dell laptop (and it doesn't have a burner installed, has a Toshiba DVDROM)
6.6.0.18 Ultra Version on the AMD box with LiteOn burner

Here is a pic of Dell laptop install

No, I don't think so. I am not using Image Drive when playing ISO's in MPC. I have one virtual drive and it is not being used.

I also have the same problem (on xp) with opening a file in ISO. I had to extract it first before viewing.

I installed an oem version and all ISO's play in MPC. No such luck before I installed Nero or after I removed it. Something in Nero express does the trick, that is all I installed.

I had not installed Nero Express OEM. Came with Benq.
