I have a file in Doc.and Settings /Local/Temp called GLC99.TMP. Evidently it is some sort of temp file but I cannot open it and can find no info on what GLC99 is. Here is the real kicker,,this file is 7.2 Gigs. Only thing that big might be a Dvd ,but I put all my Dvd files on F and not C. What to do ???

never download movies or any files that could be that large. would love to delete it as long as it is safe to do so. wish I knew where the name GLC came from. [edit] disk clean up doesnt seem to notice it.sigpic

rebooted,scanned,disk clean up,defrag. I first noticed it when defrag spent so much time on it.. searched and found it in temp file but nothing will open it due to its size. media player didn't recognize file type.sigpic

if it is a dvd folder he should be able to open it with his media player..just noticed you said you cant open it..Comment

Deleted it from safe mode. Must not have been system related because everything seems to run fine after reboot. sure was a puzzler though.

a trojan going stealth in safe mode to hide from a virus scanner which has been tricked into not seeing it, anything is possible.
