ok it looks like the hard drive that is the farthest back in the tower has the jumpers in the middle slot. the drive that is the farthest forward has it in the second two from the right as shown in the diagram.Comment

the farthest towards the back is at 5 and 6... i think. the farhtest one forward in the tower is 3 and 4Comment

what do you suggest. i tried unistalling it and reinstalling it but it doesn't change. i burn some this weekend off of the external i got and i watched them and they had no problems what so ever. i know this doesn't fix it but could my burner be bad.Comment

ok well i used my external hard drive to an external burner when i tried it last. would that fix it if i only used it that way.Last edited by proboller86; 5 Sep 2006, 12:36 PM.Comment

anyway i was also wondering when i burnt the last few it took 13 mins. now it takes 2 13 minutes sessions. whats up with that.Comment

well it turns out that when i use the internal hard drive it takes longer. when i use the external its shorter. still i was wondering if it would be ok when i use the external harddrive to the external burnerComment

make sure almost everything is shut down that might be running in the background
It would be better to have fixed that hard drive dma issue as using one external drive at a time has less system load and a greater chance of working right.Comment

yeah ok i tried it out on about 5 dvds now and not one skip. yeah whenever i burn i don't do anything else in the background. ThanksComment
