    DMA and what will happen when i disable it.

    Ok i was burning fine until i got dvd fab decrypter and enabled dma. What would happen if i were to disable it. Thats when alot of my problems started.

          so if i get the nero info toolkit thing and run a scan can you tell me everything that is wrong and what i can do to fix the dvds from skipping

            i don't know why that happened. i was just typing the entry and my computer slowed down and then the internet window went blank. sorry i didn't mean to do what ever it is that i did. anyway would that tell you what you need to know about my problems

                  why not just post it and see? you're on thin ice here proboller86. you've had multiple warnings already. chewy doesn't owe anyone anything, and he's trying to help you and you are making the process difficult.

                      ok, now we can get some where, you would have saved yourself a lot of grief
                      over this last few months by sticking with a thread till the problem was solved.

                      at first glance I can see you have a dell and a hard drive was added later,
                      looks like the 80 gig has issues with dma, there are 2 possibilities, your bios is set for pio mode for the drive or someone jumpered it slave and the other drive was jumpered cable select

                      you have to find out what's going on and fix

                      this won't fix your old nec burner but it's a start

                        i know that the 80 gig hard drive was supposed to be a slave hard drive. or that what they told me. what should i look for.

                          and last feb when you posted your nero log it was in pio mode
