ok i haven't found anybody to help me. Although, i ordered a 250 external hard drive and it will be here today. If i put the movies on there would that help. Also i defragmented my hard drives. THey were really bad. Hope some of this helps because I need some help.

could just having the hard drives completely full have anything to do with this. The computer guy in town said that having the computer so fragmented could be the problem.Comment

Pro, putting a band aid on this trouble wont make anything better. I really think it is time to open up the case on this pc and see how the hard drives are pinned. If this trouble can be traced to a drive set to "cable select" rather than "master" you will be in much better shape.Comment

ok i got a external hard drive and an external burner from a friend. we have tried but unfortunatley don't know why it won't switch from pio mode. i have burned a dvd from the external, here is the log. Does this help.
