From what I read so far WU 2610 for the SMP client is the slowest. I got a low end 3600+ dual core build started and waiting for the rest of the pieces. And the SMP client is still in beta and suggested for 4 core boxes but can be run on dual core.

By the SMP page a new client should be out every 2 months so it will get better.

I actually had to do a clean install this morning & it seems to be running properly again. As for 24/7, the only thing I do is right click & close to log off & log on to my wife's user once a day to let her do her thing & as I have set the SMP up for all users, while my wife is on it is running. we then right click to close & log back to me when she is done & start up the SMP again from a shortcut on the desktop. This all worked well with the first WU, it was just a problem with every one since. Anyway I reconfiged & have it running again. When you close it from the console & you start it back up, it considers that an improper shutdown. I have dual core but HT must have kicked in automatically because it thinks it is working on 4 cores.

4 cores are running on intel as well as amd dual core cpus btw

ya mean a dual core AMD runs F@H as 4 cores?

I just earlier picked up a 57 point WU WU 3303....even the 1.73 GHZ laptop is doing a step about every 4 minutes. Man they got WUs from teeny tiny to humongous

@Les - its gonna be tough without help. I seen some of the users stats and some of them had 30 machines each folding at times.

They have listed 100 CPUs active in the last 50 days we have 63 but we are the lil team that can!!!!

You bet, everybody is giving it their best shot & if I can get this SMP client working properly, hopefully I can start adding to ours. By the looks of it I should be able to do a WU every two days, at least that was how the first one went.

Out of ideas & patience with SMP.

I had the very first WU I tried with the SMP for windows run perfectly, 2 days done but ever since that one a week ago not one WU finishes. I thought this one was going to go through from a clean SMP install & reconfig. Any ideas, I am willing to listen. I am going to try one more clean install & if that doesn't finish it is pointless to continue using it. Ctrl+c does work but for some reason after a clean install it still says there has been 8 improper shutdowns.
