    Project 2080

These projects will generate data for Bayesian models. Bayesian models are cutting edge statistical techniques for analysing probabilities and dependencies. It is very important that the information is very accurate so we are using the double precision core.

Much appreciated JM! How come I wasn't able to find it under the descriptions? It jumped from 2079 right to 2081! But anyway, thanks again.

I am posting this here because it did affect my Folding at the time. I have the absolute worst luck trying to update my NVidia display drivers. Every time I try I end up with the blue screen, stop error. So I had not tried to update them since I had my machine tweaked & the SMP was working so well, but a friend told me about the 8695's which apparently were the last good ones for the 6 series. The other night I decide to give it another go, so I uninstall the 8421's (that I always have to rollback to), & install the 8695's. Woke up in the AM to you guessed it, the blue screen (lost a WU @25%0, must have happened about an hour after I shut the monitor down to go to bed. My friend tells me that of everybody he knows that use the 8695's, I am the only one that this has happened to, (go figure). So I rollback yet again to the good old 8421's, get a new WU & it completes with no stoppages for blue screen. For this one I have to stick to the adage, (if it ain't broke don't keep trying to fix it dummy). Sorry I made this so long & now I have made it even longer by adding this sentence.

@soup - yeah a lot of time the old if it ain't broke don't fix it rings true.

I've had a problem with new downloaded WU's not runnig right unless I rerun the install.bat thingie. It completes a WU, uploads it, then downloads a new one and it just sits there at 0. I have to close the SMP client and rerun install.bat for it to calculate with every new WU.
It is already noted in the F@H forum that this happens. Is anybody else having this happen to them?

I haven't had that problem yet (touch wood), but as long as you can keep it working until it comes out of beta, where hopefully problems like that are a thing of the past.

It ain't bad when it happens and I'm awake and around to catch it but if I'm not home or in the land of Nod, pulling some heavy zzzzzzzz's it is bad because I 'm losing folding time ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Whoa, did I just get lucky, power outage, of course I have been talking about battery backup for a couple of months now but never did anything about it. Well anyway, power comes back on & I am expecting to see the good news when I start up FAH.exe but it starts right back up to start Folding. Maybe it was lucky I was at 7%, if it had have been 90+% it probably wouldn't have. So guess what I am buying first thing tomorrow as well as a lottery ticket?

Brown outs and power outtage happening here too. I lost 1 Wu but was able to get it back with an hour old backup. I've got mine setup to backup every hour keeping the last 4 backups with the folder date/time stamped using a lil program called Handy Backup.
