    Can you identify this cable?

I have a cable. Its a combo 15 pin video with RCA connectors.
Its about a foot or so long. One end has only a male 15 pin video connector.
The other end has the same male 15 pin video connector but also has 3 RCA connectors, a left and right RCA audio connectors and one RCA video connector.
This is a pic of it, pretty much. The only difference is mine is white instead of black and the 3 RCA cords are longer, other than that they are the same.

On one 15 pin connector it is imprinted "to video card". On the other end, where the 15 pin and also the 3 RCA wires are, it is imprinted with the word "signal". Also imprinted is the word "REVEAL" and this number: 10-023-007. Just under this last number is imprinted the words "R1" or possibly "RI".
I tried google and go no results worth talking about.
I am only guessing but maybe it is part of some setup for video and sound editing or something of that nature. Missing the software for it of course as i only have the physical connectors. So i would have to find out what this is part of so i might be able to get the software to run it.
Now the questions are: what is this cable part of and what can i do with it providing i can get the software for it, and are there more missing parts?

    I appreciate any help\info i can get.

    thanks

    Hi nork,

This cable is the most common cable used in the PC world. It connects a VGA graphics adapter to a standard VGA monitor.
    Check the link - http://www.monitorworld.com/Cables/h..._hd15male.html

      Hi

Yes, it has the standard 15 pin vga but it also has these 3 other connectors on one end, making it more than just a standard, common vga connector.
If you check the url i supplied you can see exactly what i am talking about.

It similar to that, but not that. I read the info on the cabling for the monitor you pointed out and the cabling has much more than that. Dont know how many cables and what configuration but if you read further you will see other connectors mentioned with the cabling.

This part i have could be part of that sort of cabling. but i do believe its part of some sort of audio\video editing setup and i am missing the software.

I am hoping someone will have the exact same cable and show up here, lol.
Then i will know for sure.

          thanks

Did it come with your pc or the video card? You have no documentation for it? The RCA jacks seem like they would be; Yellow = Vid Red & White = Audio r/l channel. But, I could be wrong...

Thats the problem, i only have this one cable and thats all. I dont know where it came from but i do charity work and it may have come from parts received from that, it may have come from another source, i just dont know. It didnt come with my pc or with my tuner card that i have. And no documentation for it.

The item is all one piece, with a 15 pin sub at each end but one end has 3 RCA cables coming out of the molded 15 pion connector, so you know its not home-made or anything like that. There is a yellow wire with an RCA connector that says video on it and then there are 2 audio RCA wires, one colored red and one colored white, red is right and white is marked left. And there are the other markings as described above.

So, again i simply found it lying around and i am hoping someone will know this cable.

I do appreciate all the interest in this!

                  Hi everyone

Sorry to bother you but i really do want to find out exactly where this cable setup came from.
Anyone out there who might have this same cable?
Would a pic be of any help? I do believe you can figure out what i am talking about with the descriptions i have given but i will post a pic if needed.

                  thanks
