@ gonwk Is Reezaa MP3 Converter 4.6.0 any better than Burrrn? You mean it converts to MP# or burns MP# or both? If you want a nice App. for converting to MP# get CDex. It's great. Simple to use. Also Like I suggested Copyto DVD is a excellent app. for creating Audio CDs n burning any audio or video formats. I will renew my key when the time comes.
Which Older Version do you suggest Miles? The older 1.4 or the 2006 1.5 latest? Thnx. That ERUNT sounds good as I really don't use Restore points. I have my whole drive cloned by Acronis True as I mentioned b4. Great proggie. ERUNT freeware also? Thnx.Last edited by dr_ml422; 10 Apr 2009, 02:04 PM. -
I paid only $10 for version 10 when I worked at best buy. Then I picked up version 11 for $9.95 when Admin posted that Acronis was offering it as a upgrade deal. I just downloaded Paragon System Backup 2009 - Public Beta. It will work for 30 days and limited features and useage.Leave a comment:

Hi folks,
Does anyone know if this Software today from GAOTD has a "BACKDOOR" trojan or spyware ... I ran "MP3 Converter.exe" and MSCOMCTL.OCX" thru VIRUSTOTAL.com and i gave me 1 alert per each.
Reezaa MP3 Converter 4.6.0
Q: So, can it be trusted!?!?
Thanks,

I hate to say it, but Paragon has been on keygen & reverse engineers eyes for a very long time now. I believe it's because of the way they MARKET to many products with very little difference between them. Add this but leave that out kind of thing. Sorry you got stuck in there loop. This software has bailed me out a bunch of times. Somebody on another forum brought up that if you for some reason wanted to set back to factory condition with the OEM restore set, you wouldn't be able to reinstall because the keys have to be used today.
But, I figure if you're really serious about saving $40, then install the software, make an image, then do your OEM restore, install the software, make an image, then lay the first image back on!! If there's only reruns on TV it would provide entertainment for a few hours.

Paragon Drive Backup 9.0 Personal
So far the main thing that pisses me off about Paragon is as soon as I buy something, they start giving it away for nothing!!!
Giveaway of the day has the same Paragon Drive Backup 9.0 Personal I've been using for $40.
At least on HP Media Center PCs I can say the restore definitely works with USB external drives!
This personal edition has Folder Exclusion so you can opt out of backing up folders with large expendable files, such as DVD images or whatever. If your PC meets the hw requirements and you don't have a backup imaging program I'd definitely get this one!
Edit: btw the download includes both 32 bit and 64 bit versions and weighs in at @241 MB so you need fast internet. One reason it's so big is there's an .iso image for the boot CD. Don't worry about reinstalling if your HD crashes and registration etc.. when you do a restore you put in the boot CD and just lay the image back on from the USB drive. It's already "installed" same as all the other programs you backup up.Last edited by MilesAhead; 9 Apr 2009, 04:18 AM.Leave a comment:

Not sure if anybody has mentioned this free search software because it is named "Everything" and that's tough to search without getting a zillion hits. It's similar to locate32 that I was using but it's NTFS specific, uses the NTFS journaling(I'm guessing) to track file system changes, so there's no manual update required, and it doesn't run your HD in Vista. Works in both Vista 32 bit and 64 bit so I'm assuming it works just as well in XP.
Set it to start when Windows starts and forget about it! Plus if you search DonationCoder.com somebody there wrote a FARR plugin to do Everything searches from the FARR command line by using "ev search term". Instructions and dll for the plugin are on donation coder.
(you don't need the plugin to use it. That's only for integration with the FARR launcher utility.)
I've been using it for a day and a half and I haven't seen any excessive HD activity so it must be using the NTFS jounaling info to track the file system. Very cool.Last edited by MilesAhead; 9 Apr 2009, 03:14 AM.Leave a comment:

btw an excellent free registry tool is jv16 Power Tools. You can get an old free verion here:
It requires manual search to gather dead entries, but you can sort them and if you recognize something not on your system anymore, you can delete them. More time consuming but safer I think. As it's old it probably isn't good at dealing with 64 bit OS registry but I don't know that for sure. Seems to work fine on XP and Vista 32 bit.
Also, at least in my experience across anything Windows NT based, it's a good idea to use ERUNT to backup the registry. That way you can restore the registry without using a restore point. More directly at the problem in some cases without putting old versions of drivers and that type of stuff on etc..Last edited by MilesAhead; 30 Mar 2009, 04:50 AM.Leave a comment:
