None of the programs have been useful to me. I either already have something like it or it's just way over my head

The games have been pretty good. I download them and try them out. I get rid of them if I don't like them - simple. Trick Ball, Electric Eddie, and Bubble Odyssey are staying!

Are you guys all in an optimist club or what?

I agree with everything and yes I know it's free so I shouldn't complain. I was really impressed the first month or so, and now it just seems to have dropped off a bit.

    No worries fellas.

I thought beauty was in the eye of the beer holder?

Even if you download one program, you are ahead of the game but I haven't seen anything personally that I would use in the last little while. Now as far as games are concerned, that's a different story, my wife has went crazy! One word of warning on one of the games (Crusaders of Space), my wife played it for a couple of days & had no problems. She went to play it yesterday & it messed up our system pretty good for a few minutes with an access violation from Windows, I wished I had have got a screenshot to show, but it was so bad that even after we got it all sorted out & tried to restart the game just to see if it would, Windows would not let it start. Needless to say it is gone.

Crap to one is a gem to another. With the programs, I am downloading about 1 a week.... BUT with the games, it is everyday. I try it and if I like it, then I keep it. Otherwise, straight to the recycle bin.

Because it is free, saying “crap” is not really looking at the object as a thing of Beauty.

Yes, I do have to agree with the fact that I have not found anything to download in the last couple of weeks, but I did get a couple of programs & games.

I look every day and hope to find a Beauty, but if not “No worry maybe tomorrow”

    Free = Good
    Good Free= Better
    Better Free=

    IMO

I'm wondering that also, not sure if I really need it though. Seems like a Firewall/Process monitor.

Might be useful, might be just an extra program running that I don't need!

Does anyone think System Safety Monitor is a good a program? It has a lot of good comments.

I didn't have a problem. It was a really good game, the only problem was that you only get 60 minutes of play time.

Well I didn't play the thing but I downloaded, activated it & installed. I just went to start the thing up & had no problem. Might be because of the account type. I know all these games I download through shared documents in to a folder called shared installs where if I have to I extract to the folder I create for each game. I install from that folder to program files but always from my wife's login. we are both administrators though. One last thing, this game when installed showed up in both our start / all programs menu but the desktop shortcut only showed up on my wife's desktop.

Just have your son play it when you are logged on... I know when I was 4 I didn't even know how to use a computer, so it shouldn't be a problem

Now if he was 14, maybe I'd worry, as by that time I figured a way around all my parents' weak attempt to filter me... but it shouldn't be an issue.

If you're just worried that he might do something accidentaly, try one of those Kids browsers, that automatically filters stuff, I think there's one called Kidsplorer, not sure. (When I was growing up we had dial-up and there was no such thing as limited accounts... so I am still used to installing everything under one account)

    Same here.

Todays download (Global clipboard) was interferring with my son's limited logoff. When I tried to delete it, my Comodo firewall went crazy as the program was trying to contact an IP. Suspicious activity if you ask me.

Todays game Lines Deluxe gave me another problem, so I deleted it. The problem is my son's login is to a limited account. (He will be 4 and this is to prevent bad downloads) I changed it to an administrator account and downloaded and activated and played the game. I logged him off and rebooted. I went into my login and changed his account from administrator to limited again. I logoff my space and went to his. The game would not play.

Any ideas what I did wrong???

PS: I had downloaded into my area originally and tried to give him a shortcut BUT that would not work either.
