i really like my macbook's ability to create profiles for different internet access and now i stumbled upon a freeware for windows, which seems to do the same:

Mobile Net Switch

With what I have already got & the fun my wife has playing the games, I figure I am ahead of the game.

I don't want to spoil the fun in this thread, I checked out the forum there and a lot of people are reporting they ended-up with a trial to their download.

Some software might be the whole thing for keeps.

I used to use this site at: http://www.zdnet.com/ but there's two snags. One, they have some trials, too but the full software to whatever are older versions. They give away the older versions because nobody will buy them but some software, even if it's a few versions old can still be useful. Some software that comes out, the newer versions are not as good and the older versions are better. For example, I have an older version of Ulead Photo Impact and I like that version better than the newer versions. The reason why is because the newer versions are awkward at Cropping a photo.

This website has a different bit of licenced software to download each day free. The software has to be installed and activated the same day it is downloaded (special giveaway licence by the software publishers).
