Registry Problem

I reinstalled Windows XP yesterday and I have been adding software from discs and downloading as well. Today I started getting these messages. When I click okay on one, another pops up. I ran Spybot and CCleaner. They took care of any problems, but I am still getting these messages. Are they for real or are they pop-up ads? I can't tell.

online scan, takes a while (pending on amount of files etc).
it won't remove any alerts, but you can see the problem/s & deal with it manually. "scan your pc" (near the bottom of page)

you have installed an embedded trojan with your reload, the popups are
a scam

Chewy, how do I get rid of it? It was a factory disc from gateway.

the trojan could have come from a web exploit when you connected to the internet

always load sp2 at least before surfing

any downloaded programs from p2p are suspect

they are putting these malware files in installers

to be safe download trojanhunter and the definition update

disconnect from internet, stop any unknown processes
run the updated trojanhunter

Alright, I disconnected from the internet and ran Trojan Hunter and this is what I got - nothing. Now what?

There is also another registry program that you can use which is hijackthis but I had s brain fart and could not remember the name of the program last night.
