    Hi, Chewy
I know you posted this with good intent and for educational purposes but to tell you the truth That Yourtube page itself, Put up RED flags for me. Not only does that page use JAVA in some very strange ways but is also connects to a whole host of [AD] sites IE: "doubleclick". The SWF video file itself could contain malicous code that could execute after downloading it. But being the kind of guy I am, I turned JAVA on and allowed Youtube and that swf video to run itself, anyway. LOL
    For everybody else here.
OK Now to start with. Not everything that guy in that video was saying was neccesarily true. Like the part where he said that KEY generated by the keygen would not work. "NOT TRUE" Most of the keys generated by those kind of programs do work! But for only one particular version of any program. This is why you see so many upgrades in downloadable pay-for software. If you notice the version History for most software it will say nothing more than "Minor bug fixs" as the reason of the upgrade. The bug fix was yet another change in the way the software generates serial numbers to protect itself From keygenerators. The second thing he was saying was it the keygen itself would embed worms and such in your computer. Well??? Yes!! some do and they can be real bastards to get rid of. But for the most part they (the authors) quit doing that because of improvements in anti-virus programs, most can catch and stop those worms dead in thier tracks. Where the threat comes in these days is the Web Sites themselves that contain the keygens an appz. If you visit these sites and don't have your Firewall securities set to High threat and have JAVA turned off completely you are in real danger of becoming a victim, but with Jave turned you won't be able to download the keygens and appz so...... The bottom line is, don't tread where you don't belong. Don't think for a second that you are safe just because you have the "New and Improved" security suite or firewall running on you system. Don't be a fool. The programmers that reverse enginneer software and crack the serial number coding are some of the BEST programmers out there and can EASILY Do What they Want, When they Want.
There is one post here by "photo_angel2004" thats says:
QUOTE:And if your real worried about it NEVER have any important information on your computer such as SSI #, bank account #'s Pin #'s of any kind. Copies of credit card bills or ultility bills. Keep all that stuff off your computer that is hooked up to the net.
    That is damn good advice!
Thats all I have to say "for now" on this subject.
Well wait! One more quick thing I would like to say. There is some pay for software that is just as bad as the hacked stuff. The software has tracking code built in so the authors can track you and see how and where and what thier software is being used on and with.
Is this any more ethical than the crackz?
    Happy New Year

Just try WMP11. Every time I play a video, Comodo Firewall asks me if I want WMP11 to connect to the internet? Why should a media player be connecting to the net every time I play a video???

Another reason to toss M$ $h!t!

because its been setup like that, check the settings.
media player upon start, checks for codes, song/video titles, so it can show u that instead of some song some artist.
