I touched on this in another thread, but thought I would make a separate one here, more pertinent to the issue.
I have 2 pc's. One is connected at a time directly into my cable modem. I am not working with the router in the mix yet. At random times, I lose the internet connection. Can be after 1/2 day, or a whole day.
If I reboot the pc, the connection returns. Same issue on both pc's, which makes me think that there is a modem problem here. The thing is, I don't really understand how a reboot fixes the modem.
Any comments/ideas/suggestions before I purchase a new modem?
