    Broadband router problem

My cousin has a broadband router set-up in his house with 2 computers hooked into it. The problem comes up when one person is on-line on one computer if someone else tries to go on-line on the other the one that was on-line first will get kicked off and lock up until a re-boot. Same thing happens if you go the other way around computer 2 first than computer 1, computer 2 will kick off and lock up. The router is set-up correctly and the disk that came with it was ran. Anybody know why this might be happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

if the router has 4 cat5 outputs then networking is not setup right, redo it from scratch

if one computer is using cat5 ethernet and another the usb, then that's usually not allowed

first set the network connections...start...connect to...show al connections...in the network tasks pic set up a home...then it shows the network setup wizard..click next...one next again...then select "this computer connects directly to the internet & next... select youre internet connection ....and thats all... but you have to do the same configuration in both computers

        consider a firmware update.

and let me say that imho those cds with their setups are plain crap - configure the box manually
