Rebooted and it burned fine, any suggestions?
just read a thread on another forum...seems liteon is having some serious firmware issues with this drive.....power calibration errors and drive speed locking....guess I'll just have to wait til another fw update.Last edited by beachbumm33; 3 Mar 2007, 03:29 AM. -
multiple people have had this problem with this burner and the next generation burner......they all had to reboot, especially to unlock the burn speed.....fw prob they thinkComment

Seems I'm still having the problem....I can burn one dvd with this burner and do a quality scan, then when I put a new dvd+r in it and try to burn again, I get a power calibration error....have to reboot to get it to work....what is the fix for this? any suggestions?
Ive uninstalled in device manager and then added hardware thru windows, still no luck getting more than one burn then having to rebootLast edited by beachbumm33; 6 Mar 2007, 08:05 AM.Comment

absolutely chewy, I have it set to cycle between burn and verify.....then I cycle manually before scanning.....I read that in multiple posts a while ago and implemented the advice
ive tried a lot of things, having only this device connected, connecting it and my other lite on burner in diff configs, ie.... slave/master, uninstalling in device manager and letting windows find in add hardware, flashing in safe mode with the flash utility, flashing without the utility, different ribbon cables....just at a loss
when its working, its doing a great job.....good burns that is...
I put up a thread in ImgBurn here, hopefully Lighting UK will see
As always, thanks for the help Chewy, I truly do appreciate itLast edited by beachbumm33; 7 Mar 2007, 06:01 AM.Comment

thank you soup.....i also did some reading and found that autorun was set to on in my pc's registry....value 1, I followed some instructions and turned it off value 0....what value would you recommend chewy?
@soup and chewy, my setting look like your screen shot except discovery is ticked in all categories listed in Synchronise and verify is ticked in write modeLast edited by beachbumm33; 7 Mar 2007, 07:59 AM.Comment

My verify is normally ticked in write mode as well but I was doing something for something else I am working on so I had it unchecked in ImgBurn. As for Discovery, that's how it ended up when I downloaded the new version & I haven't found the need to change those settings yet.
