I'll try reflashing with the new cable.....then try some burns

flash it with codeguys patched and new cable with drive standalone master on end of cable from safe mode

don't ever flash any drive from regular mode, especially one that's dma 4

all I see on their page is stock firmware for this burner......downloaded it and off to give it a try, then ill do some burns, thanks all for the help

yep......i saw some other "patched" firwares on there, so thought I was missing something......sorry to be a pain in the arse , but I definately trust your opinion....time to get off the t*t as they say......ive tried lots of things on my own before asking, trying to implement the things ive learned....but some things are just over my head....ill go try it now....thanks again Chewy, I owe ya more than one, lol
