Is the retail version better than the OEM?
And I have the retail version of Nero, I don't need "essentials"
Another complaint of that LiteOn was that it was noisy... is it really that bad? Some people said it stopped working after a few months, but so did my Samsung so I know nothing better.
to me it is but others may think diff, I think the retail pack a lot better when shipping then the EOM
all the samsungs iv used [otherthen one without round open/close button] get their tray problems in 6 months or so.... atleast in this part of the world... dusty and humid.
I just ordered it, should be here when, Wednesday?
Do you know EXACTY what OEM means!?? Not just the letters them self and what they stand for!?
I bought 2 of these burners and they are great... CHewy turned me on to em as well.... BUT the OEM ones come with NO SOFTWARE... NO BOX... NO INSTRUCTIONS.... NOTHING!!!!!! (I had to learn this too recently and I'm soon to be 41years old) OEM is for people that do building machines for a living and don't need all "the stuff" gathering up around the house.. don't need the box..upc's, instructions, the software, the free nero disk etc etc etc... I called NEWEGG and asked "WTF!??" and that was the explaination I got... Laughing at myself now, but I get it. Peace
I was confused and dumbfounded when I open the box...they were just wrapped in bubble paper/wrap.
I have the links if you need the instructions..i've already downloaded the pdf file for it and the software.

ElwoodsBrotherJake"...I'm on a mission from God, to help me and others from making coasters!
I know what OEM is, and I already have Nero so I have no need for a disc... and why would I need instructions? I just take the old drive out and pop the new one in... I've done it before.
