Me, I just got my AMD 4000+ San Diego in and put it away for now.
I'm building a new gaming rig and for $62, you just can;t beat the deal.
Witht he Asus A8N32-SLI board, this proc. will hit 3.0 speeds easily.
I haven;t decided on memory yet, wether I'll move my Geil PC3500 Duel channel over, or go with the Corsair PC3200 2G with SLI.
I'm currently watching the prices on the video cards, since I'll be running 2 in SLI.
I'm a bigger fan of ATI cards, but I'll be going with nVidia (probably XFS) for this setup.
The odd thing is this mobo/proc. are outdated, but for as cheap as I can build it and the performance will hit higher than most current level builds..it;s just a no brainer.... I did order a 2nd 4000+ and put it back, jic one bites the dust, but at that price, it;s still cheap.
@Chewy - oh giver of advice I'm gonna order the OCZ 2GB RAM today or tomorrow. Got any suggestions for a HSF combo to put the pedal to the metal for the AM2 brisbane chip? Thanks again
@Chewy Thanks again!!!! I ain't trying to set the world on fire with the OC just start a lil flame in the CPU as close to 3GHZ as I can get The Asus MOBO has the 4 pin CPU fan connector so I think I'll go with the Artic...fits a buncha sockets/Chips too 40 CFM low noise tho low noise ain't important, it'll be in the basement.
