with no or little overclock and no voltage increase for the core, stock cooling should be more than adequate

Ahh, a man after my own heart!

Don't know why it would matter which order you purchase the items in. You could create a "wish list" at newegg & then make the purchases as you have the money avail., or watch for shipping deals, rebates, etc. That is what I did on my recent build. Got back a pile of $$$ in rebates!

That is what I suggest too. Create your entire build on newegg and place it all in your wishlist and save it. Watch for shipping deals or price drops and buy as your funds allow it. You'll have it in no time at all. I do howwever, suggest that the processor be the last thing you but due to the fact that Newegg has a 30 day return policy on the processors. In the off chance you actually get a DOA proc. , you wouldn;t know it untill you did the actual build. If you bought it first and shelved it for 2 months while getting the other parts, your warranty period is over and you would have to take other avenues to rectify the problem.

With a nice vid card like that, don't forget to add a nice 22" widescreen LCD monitor to the list!

BTW, for close to the same $$$, you can maybe find a bit better rated one that would also include a fan, instead of just a heatsink.

This is what I chose. It had a rebate on it when I bought it. Reviews are pretty good.
