better and more secure but it take 50% longer to load and that download window feature is as lame as it gets, wish they wouldn't crap up a good program with annoying features for the "bell's and whistle" groupies

Are you talking about general browsing?
Here's something for broadband people that will really speed Firefox up: 1.Type about:config into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and...

There is also a tweaking extension...fasterfox I think?

and that download window feature is as lame as it gets
Download status bar? I kinda like it, but then I'm a sucker for "bells and whistles."

I haven't noticed any slowdown yet. The download window thing can be shut off in options on the main tab.

You can still have My Favourites, just create the folder in Organize Bookmarks.

surfing seems to be the same with firefox speedwise, pages with scripts and adds load faster when blocked, firefox takes longer to open initially

killed the download window a while back

                              looks like the same download

                              oh crud!

but some of your extensions and other add-ons might not work until updates for them are made available.
too late now I have applied the upgrade

Basically it is, but it contains all the install/uninstall info for those curious, lol.

Normally the only time the add-ons etc. won't work is with a major update, as in when Firefox 2.0 came out.
