Selling a Power Supply

Hi, I have an old 250w power supply that I am going to be selling on eBay. I don't know what I should set the price as - what would you guys reccomend? If you were buying one yourself, what would the max. price be? I'm not gonna do a $0.01 giveaway, but I'd like to have a fair price - what do you guys reccomend?

And if anyone's interested I can give you a link once I put the auction up (which will likely be Sunday night, so it ends next Sunday)

OK, well what would you guys think a fair price would be? I don't wanna overcharge someone!

Be careful with starting bids at $0.01, sometimes things close out at that opening bid of a penny.

Take into the cost to run the ebay add, the real cost of shipping including the packaging you going to ship it in and then come up with a price that will cover all of that plus something for the item your selling.

The $0.01 trick ONLY works when you have a HOT item that is either no longer made and still in demand or an item that is worth a lot $$$$$ that is a much wanted item.

If all you get is a penny you loose money fast and get nothing but a bill to send the item to the buyer.

I personally never did the penny thing I always have the opening bid starting at the least amount I am willing or can take for the item taking into consideration of packing materials and the cost to sell the item including the final selling fee which is the % eBay takes for the total amount the item sold for.

BTW:
If someone is willing to pay what you list then there is no such thing as charging too much. An item is really only worth what a buyer is willing to pay sometimes that is a lot of money sometimes not.

No, I said I WASN'T doing a $0.01 bid. I might just put a reserve, and a buy it now, those aren't too expensive I don't think.

What I'm trying to find out is, what would you computer people pay for a 250 watt power supply? If I make my price too high, no one will buy it, but if I put it too low I will lose the money I originally paid for it.

Do a search on ebay for "completed auctions" to get an idea of what similar items such as yours ended the bid with..

I have a "shooting area" on my property that I have misc. pc junk/monitors, etc. accumulated, & I've put bullets in higher powered ones than that, lol
