You bet ! It was. The Himalayas just never fail to amaze me.
BTW, these were taken with my newly procured Panasonic FZ 28. Loving the cam.

          that's a wonderful picture!

would you by chance have details on iso, shutter speed, aperture, focus length and the like?

btw you meant jack of all trades and master of none, didnt you?

here is my pic of the day:

despite the cold a grabbed my camera and the tripod and took some pictures after work today

here is the first example of a church illuminated in twilight -this period of time is way too short to take pictures from more than one location

i made three different pictures (using my canons AEB function, which shoots 1 picture with correct metering and one pic with the "bracket" you set it to [i used the max of 2 f.stops]) above and one below the correct value

those three picture were turned into a HDR via photomatix and afterwards photoshopped
(removed an electric wire, reduced the yellowish tint on ths snow, added that yellow light on the front window, removed noise)

UncasMS, the picture of the church, where is it from. It looks very familiar.

Brilliant pics !!! The first picture gave me a rather surreal feeling !!!! Twilight at 1.30 a.m. ? So unfamiliar to me ! What was the colour of the sky at 1/4 sec. exposure time ?

the picture was taken around 17:30 and that was twilight over here in germany

i took three different pics with a correct exposure and an over as well as under-exposure for the other two images

finally i used PHTOMATIX to create an HDR image from the three single files and furthermore photoshopped the picture to a certain degree
