    well I would suggest(just a hunch) that you put the original ram back in, take out the new, install windows clean, boot back into safe mode, run the windows bios update

    follow the directions exactly as stated on the web site

          just have it downloaded to your desktop, boot into safe mode and execute

          I would print the directions tho

            i dont have a printer at the moment bc the drive isnt being recongnized by my operating system. where do i find the bios webpage to download it my desktop

                  i did everything you told me to do except we one problem. when i tried to run the bios update it said there was as error and it didnt work. i was in safe mode old ram is in xp is installed. do you think maybe the problem was fixed? what should we do now

                      i did exactly what the website said to do. still said an error. i didnt notice anything missing in my device manager but im only a novice person when it comes to computers. i will wait for my next instructions

                          it was right at the begining. it just said an error and could not continue. so tried something out of the box and ran it normal mode. and it worked. so now what do you need from to see if we are heading in the right direction
