I agree with "soup" especially Dell. I have 2 Acer 15.4 wide screen and 1 Acer 17" wide screen. I love all of them.

Since compusa is going bellyup the market is wide open, apple has made a big turnaround. Of course ipod has really helped, that and Itunes.

Hmmm if the camcorder I bought is any indication, BB will give you a good deal on the hardware, but the dust cover will cost you $159.95

But that "dust cover" (if good quality) will last you 15 years - the notebook's trash in virtually 2.

I learned to type on old manual typewriters. Every time somebody shows me a notebook I just can't bring myself to type on those funky keyboards. It feels too weird.

Last week I worked on a 18 month old top of line dual core memron HP, had sata dual 80 gig hard drives, damn thing had already lost it's pmcia? slot, lady had the 3g card bus service

I have never used an Apple computer but have used Dell and HP. HP is my choice.

I have 2 IBM thinkpads an older A31 and a newer R61 and i love them also looking to buy an ASUS because they use a real graphics card in them
