        Ya I am really strugling with Vista core temps says 37c is that okay at idle?It's blowing cold air out not hot

          sounds great, core temp is very accurate and that temp shows you got a good fit on the HSF, wait till you crank all four cores up and run them close to max for 20-30 minutes, the temp should climb into the 50's, redline is 70C for that CPU

          with that monster HSF you'll have to overclock to get even close to that?

                  ya 5-5-5-31 did I get robbed?.I got the ocz platnium supposed to be 4-4-4-15 or maybe do I not have them running right? Vista shows 2 gb so there are installed in right slots and they come up Dual channel?

                    the first commandment, know thy bios, I downloaded my manual and started reading it before ordering the motherboard and that was after 2 weeks of research finding the right
                    mobo to overclock and then it took a couple more weeks figuring it all out


                    Rome was not built in a day

                    if this stuff was easy, HP,Dell etc would go out of business

                        that's your second vista question, I would have gone with XP myself

                        maybe server 2003 for dual quad cores

                        but never vista

                        post in the vista subforum, there are a few people there who are working to get vista up to xp's standards

                          No Vista is not a deffinite here I have XP pro on the self but,I got a legal copy of Vista Ultimate the total package for free from a good friend so I'm just giving it a go.

                                let's not blame this one on vista, how did you install the OS? from a usb stick or a floppy drive?
