    How to completely remove Firefox?

I am using ff 2.0.0.18, & it has been crashing for about a month or so now. I tried uninstalling thru the control panel, & deleting the mozilla folder on the c drive, but when I reinstall, it still remembers all my bookmarks, etc.

And, the crashing is still there. How do I completely remove firefox? I am not running any extras such as ad-ons, themes, etc. Just a bare-bones version. Just can't seem to get things cleaned up.

check your "documents & settings" => "application files" directory for "mozilla"

Thanks for the help, guys. I didn't feel like trying to clean up malware/etc. Thought it would be easier to throw it out & start over.
check your "documents & settings" => "application files" directory for "mozilla"
I did that, & so far, so good.
        ATFCleaner
I will be adding that to my toolbox.

I have also been using malwarebytes on some other badly infected pc's, & that has worked out very well...

Also go to the registry and delete any entries to your FF there also. There could definitely be bugs there. I usually do a clean install like that every once in a while w/certain proggies/apps., especially when they're updated a lot. Yes that ATFCleaner Chewy suggested does get rid of a lot. I've been using it ever since he recommended it a while back w/Ccleaner. Another tip is to not only completely remove every remnant possible, but also defrag afterwards and then reboot. After you reboot go to the site of the program, in this case FF, and download another executable fresh. Run it through your antivirus and then install. Sometimes a .exe can be corrupt from the get go.

When it comes to FF I always update to the newest version, some older versions will not work correctly anymore w/certain proggies. I think you have Linux and prolly Windows as well, so I don't know if every time they bring out a new version it's automatically compatible w/those os.

Take the suggestions and follow the directions. The results will speak for themselves.

          Google is definitely our friend.
