    Hi Photo_Angel,

Do the folks here know your "Set-Up"? Your OS and so forth!?!?

        Hi Angel,

Try restarting your computer few times ... it might just be a glitch. If not ... here is what I have found for you to get you started ...

When you get a stop error (Blue Screen of Death), your system writes a small file called a minidump. This is a small write up on how to debug memory...

I have to run now to run an errand ... let's hope Chewy and the guys will see this post soon ... meanwhile run down everything that pops up on your BSOD ... you know the messages ...

        G!

If it's XP Pro then you have the install CD?
If so try booting from it and doing a system repair.
Not the restore to factory state, just the repair.
          See if it boots then.

When you talk about something being installed it sounds like
a driver is busted so it sees it as "new hardware" and tries to
          install the driver(just guessing.)

Esp. if you let somebody else on the machine it's a good idea to store a system image on an external disk that's kept locked away. At least then you can get back to the state of the last "snapshot" you backed up.

I have no idea how to do that with out being able to get onto windows there is where i need the help, I have an ex pro disc and I also can not start with the disc, how do I get it to windows to do anything with it please. I just get the blue screen.

Manually delete the Undo_guimode.txt file from the Windows\System32 folder before you perform any of the actions that are listed in the "Symptoms" section of this article. To do this in Windows XP, type the following command at a command prompt:
                del /a /f %windir%\system32\undo_guimode.txt

From the Start menu, click Run. See screen shot Image
In the Run dialog box, in the Open text box, type: cmd. Click OK.
Delete the undo_guimode.txt file. In the C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe dialog box, type: del /a /f c:\windows\system32\undo_guimode.txt. Press the ENTER key. See screenshot Image
                KB Q312369

there is no start no windows

You have to go into bios/setup and set the computer to boot to the cd, some are already setup that way

open the tray, insert the cd, restart the computer

I does say boot to cd on the bottom

I can not get it to boot up though there is the problem.

is there any command that can force this?

I have no idea how to do anything with the bios or how to get there, this is why I am turning to you at this point.

                    Thanks

I have restarted it about a million times in the past few days and no matter what I do I can not get windows up.,

When the computer is booting up hit del and that will get you into the bios setup. Then you can set the boot order. Set the optical drive as the first boot device.

That does not mater just set that to the first bootable device. How many optical drives do you have. On my laptop it says cdrom even thought it is a dvd rom drive.

there are 2 but it wont boot up from either of them I am beating my head into a wall with this.

There has to be a way to boot this pc up.

Has anyone tried this or would this be a waste of time and money?

I am at an impasse on this one. I have never had a problem getting a computer to boot from the optical drives. I see if you have even tried to hit F8 to get into safe mode which did not work. My laptop was doing that yesterday after I did some registry edits, but I was able to get into safe mode and boot to last known good configuration. So my laptop is working again.
I do not know anything about that software, but maybe someone else does.
