That is really strange the none or the programs or the bios report the same temp. I have never paid attention to that since I have mostly single core CPUS. When I get the 6 core CPU I will pay closer attention to the CPU temps. I will also be getting an ASUS gaming motherboard.

I know. So much variance. Sounds more like sensor issues rather than heat I think.
If it really gets hot with this case, we will have an extreme issue. AMD gives up to 62c. Not that I want to get there, but at least the 58's were okay at load with prime95

It is kind of weird. On my dual core AMD 5200+ the hotter core always has less load. The one running the higher load is cooler. My Phenom, when running maxed out, will often get into the low 70s C for a short time. Doesn't seem to bother it. The stock fan setup sounds like hurricane gales though. The fan speed surges and backs off sounding just like the whipping winds you get during a hurricane. As long as it works. But sometimes I'm not in the mood to listen to fan noise so I just put a job on the dual core and forget about it.

I supposed I could mess around in the box but the way they jam the crap in the HP machines now I'm reluctant to do more than stick in an add in card. It's really a jumble in there.

I'd get a zalman.....stock fans are junk especially on a Quad. Your wattage is 125 which makes the chip hot.
            My 945 is also 125w.

            You raise the blade,
            You make the change,
You rearange me till I'm sane.
You lock the door, throw away
            the key,
            There's someone in my head
            and it's not me.

Sounds like a good one pfloyd.

If anyone is curious. THIS is how the build was.

He has own speakers, mouse, and keyboard and I already had Arctic Silver.
