Terminating Program Update Thread

When I try to shut down the program, I get this message and end up having the close it within the task manager. Otherwise it'll just stick there.

Any ideas?

Can you post a log? It sounds like Imgburn never finished it's tasks completely.

Nothing shows up in the log, I get that message in the status bar of the app as soon as I click on the X to close the program.

Now I'm getting the same thing happening when I try to shut down DVDD.

It won't leave the task manager and I have to reboot.

This sometimes happened in DVD Decrypter, too. Wait for the Operation completed successfully. Click OK and then click close.

I think sometimes it is still looking for a disk in the drive or something.

What operating system? If 98/ME it could be an ASPI layer problem, if 2000, 2003 or XP it's possibly something interfering with the SPTI layer. Have you recently installed any new backup/burning software?

yeah I've recently installed nero 7 oh and running XP

well... I'd suspect Nero 7 is the root of the problem, but I'm sure by the time it reaches 7.7.0.17 or so it will be mostly bug free

I already have both imgburn and decrypter installed, along with nero 7.

lol, just found this forum... I didn't know they'd made ImgBurn it's own one!

The problem here is with the 'Check For Program Updates' stuff.

You have it enabled but it's having trouble checking for updates.

Do you block it on the firewall or something? If so, disable the option within ImgBurn.

DoH! sometimes the most obvious solution is the easiest to overlook

When I start up the program, that option is automatically checked so I would uncheck it, and exit the menu but still it freezes up when i try to shut it down.
