ImgBurn help

Hi...Am very new.....
I have DVD fab decrypter[express]...DVD Shrink.....imgburn....installed on the comp...

How do I "marry " them so that Shrink will automatically call up img to burn ??

I have checked the "sticky" re shrink and img but the fab folder does not contain an "exe" file to name change..

The shrink burn page does not find fab or img...only Nero

The first thing you have to do is in Shrink edit/preferences/file I/o and uncheck burn with Nero then when you hit back-up for your project it will give you a choice.What you are looking for in fooling Shrink to burn with ImgBurn instead of Dvd Decrypter is at DVD Back-up/Recording>FAQ and Guides How to get ImgBurn To Burn With DVD Shrink.I would suggest you get Dvd Decrypter as well it is free.Fab will not come into it because you use it first to decrypt.I should have mentioned that you need Dvd Decrypter installed to do the fool Shrink part.You will understand when you read the guide.

Thanks so far,soup...Do I need decrypter installed before img will show ??Turned Nero off in preffs..now all greyed out....
If I do need it...where from ??The d/load site is now "dead",as I am sure you know......

You need Dvd Decrypter installed before you start the process of fooling Shrink to burn with ImgBurn instead of Decrypter but you must have the guide I mentioned and another guide that might help you this is what it is called is Dvd Shrink For Dummies just click on the Dvd Shrink forum and it is right there.Oh and by the way do not change Fab it has nothing to do with what you are trying to achieve.I apologize that guide for getting Shrink to burn with ImgBurm is also in this forum.It is by jmet.About downloading I think it is still available but I can't remember where.Maybe somebody can help you with that or do a seperate search.I just know you need it to do what you want to do sorry.If worst comes to worst you can create an iso with Shrink and burn with ImgBurn manually.If you are doing a one to one copy Fab to decrypt and then ImgBurn.Here's what I would do with what you have to learn click on the following and look for user guides DvdFab,MenuShrink,Dvd Shrink,ImgBurn and if you can find a download Dvd Decrypter all in the forum.These will all give you a better idea of what's involved but don't forget about the previous guides I mentioned.

It is all going to seem confusing at the start but if you find those guides and go through them it will become clear.It is tough to get started but if you stick with it it will pay off in the long run.Good luck and I hope I helped some as I have only been doing this since August myself.

for now just use imgburn manually, create your iso on the hard drive with shrink.
after you work out all the bugs, then go auto

The whole process is not very user friendly, it's a lot simplier and safer
to just do it manually at first. We take renaming files for granted.

Au contraire my dear wookie. I thought jmet's illustrated guide makes it child's play. It's a one time action. And ImgBurn doesn't have to start immediately.

it work but when I use the wizzard it will not work so I have to take it out

Many thanks to all for the advice,I have read the guides,which do help.

Unfortunatly most assume that one is not a complete novice....like me..!!!!

As an example...jmets excellent guide starts off by assuming that everyone knows how to make DVDdecrypter start in auto mode......wrong !!! .I still do not,but will learn...hopefully.

At present I will try manual mode....on RWs !!!!!!

Tabatha look at chewy's advice and use what you have available to you until you have a problem and then this forum is here to help you.DvdFab first then Dvd Shrink Then ImgBurn.If you have any questions on any of them ask them in the forum and I assure you that you will get help.Good luck.
