PgcEdit works on the basis that the files are in IFOs/BUPs and VOBs. So rip in file mode, all files.

cool soo... got to the part about burning. step 6 the main burn dialogue, clicked ok. now got this (see attached)

ImgTool Classic popped up asking for a source directory, output file, and volume id

what do i do now?

Eh? This doesn't look right. ITC doesn't pop up at all. The LB dialogue does.

PgcEdit never calls ITC, only mkisofs.exe and ImgBurn.

ImgBurn is DIFFERENT to ITC. You got the wrong burner. Get ImgBurn.

Redo your settings.

Options - Input/Output - Burn/Create ISO Settings and where it says path to ImgBurn, point to ImgBurn not ImgToolClassic.

oh, well it wasn't ImgBurn, that was correct. Rather I had ImgTool Classic where mkisofs needed to be. Fixed that then went through the rest of it. Got to ImgBurn clicked burn and coaster time...

Seems your firmware or drive does not like writing these DVDs or that you have a bad batch (very unusual).

Maybe you should go back to the 1.0d firmware.

I am going to move this thread to our ImgBurn sub-forum, where LIGHTNING UK! can perhaps offer some advice. For legal reasons, he does not log in to this DVD Decrypter sub-forum.

Could you post your log from Dvd Decrypter in file mode before you went to PgcEdit?

Nothing really for me to say. The drive is failing to burn the media.

If a firmware update isn't available or didn't work, you're out of luck.

I've pulled it all off, everything....software, hardware.

put it back on and started over. here's the dvdd log

got 24% before write error.

I think I'm going to return the drive, pick up another.
