I installed the new DVD Shrink with ImgBurn. I haven't got any problem backing up DVDs with DVD Shrink and Imgburn but DVD Shrink is been working extremely slow.
It's taking over 2 hours to back up a DVD that usually would take at the most 1 hour to burn with DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter.
I read the ImgBurn users guide but I'm not sure how to do some of the settings. I don't know if I should update the firmware and I'm afraid to mess things up since I'm new in the burning scene.
I've been using white TDK DVD-R(Media ID TTHO2). I couldn't figure out how to tight the whole thing together in order the have a fast burn but maitaning the quality with no errors. I tried different burn speeds in ImgBurn to see if I could get a better speed with DVD Shrink with no sucsess. Once DVD Shrink is done and I start ImgBurn it goes pretty fast regardeless the speed I chose. The problem I think is with DVD Shrink that doesn't give a option to set up the burning speed. I don't know...
I have a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GMA-4020B, firware A105. My system is compatible with DVD-R. I have a Windows XP Home Edition Pentium(R) 4CPU 2.53GHz, 1GB of RAM, 72GB of free space and I have 2 drives: Maxtor 6Y080P0 and Maxtor 6Y120L0(One of them to run the programs and the other for storage).
I made sure that my Primary IDE Channel and Secondery IDE Channel had transfer Mode and Current Transfer Mode with DMA option for faster info transfer.
I read for hours in this forum trying to figure out what I need to do to get this running properly. Sometimes I get a copy protection error in DVD Shrink. If I back up the same CD using DVD Decrypter I go >Mode>ISO> Read I can save the file to my hard drive but it's saving as a .MDS instead of .ISO.
Due to lack of knowledge I don't know what to do.
If somebody can help I would really apreciate.
Tanks...
