I just did an over write. When I click the icon, it takes at least 30 seconds to appear. Is there something wrong?

I am sorry, I interjected my problem over your question. I clicked the icon for the older version. It said there was an update. It took the ImgBurn site and I downloaded 2.0.0.0 over the the older version.

However, when I click the icon for 2.0 it takes about thirty seconds for the program to appear. It used to appear immediately on the older version. Therefore I wonder if there was a problem with downloading it over the older version or a problem in general?

I removed the older version of ImgBurn from my computer and downloaded the new version but it is still very slow to load. Is this happening to any one else? Any suggestions?

When you say it takes 30 seconds, are you not even getting the splash screen?

It could be your antivirus software kicking in.

I've seen a few reports where some AV software has falsely said something about a PECompact virus.

Takes less than 1 second to load for me too. Tested on loads of machines and every OS Microsoft has released starting with Windows 95, right up to Vista.

EDIT: You might want to redownload from the ImgBurn mirror, I've reverted to an older version of the compression program now to hopefully get around these AV problems.

Let me know if that one is any better!

Do you have the link to the ImgBurn mirror? I downloaded 1.3.0.0 again from this site:

That version loads quickly after the icon is clicked. Never had a problem with it. Did you mean to download the older version?

I got it working. I clicked "save" then to C>Program Files. Then opened it up from there. Before, I clicked "Run". Now it works perfectly. Thank you

Is it best to always click save rather than run?
